Description

Poppies are my speciality. I love their intricate and fragile beauty. My trademark is my gold spiral backgrounds, which I have used here to embellish the intrigue of the backdrop along with some bold gold paint work.

This particular piece was inspired by sound as well. I was listening to classical music (Debussy, Saint-Saens and Tchaikovsky at the time) whilst painting this and was in a really tranquil and ‘chilled’ mood — I hope this comes across in the finished result!
