Hi, my name is Cherie Roe Dirksen. Here is a little bit about who I am, what I do and why I do it…

Smelling the Flowers…
We truly live in remarkable times — isn’t this just a great time to be on Earth? Well, I think so anyway. So much is taken for granted on a daily basis, some of us often forget to stop and smell the roses along our path in life. I was there once but woke up gradually to the beauty and sheer wonder of creation. I decided that I wanted to create a life that is steeped in vibrant colour, ludicrous humour, whimsical wonder, pensive reflection, unstoppable action and transformational energy through all my passions.
Passion no.1 (in no particular order)
My Art is how I interpret the world around me, it is how I experience this so-called ‘reality’ (or, more aptly, the ‘illusory dream world’) and how I want my life to be experienced. I popped out of my mother’s womb, brush in hand — okay, not quite but I do remember starting to show a keen interest in drawing and painting at a very early age.
“Life is a palette of unbelievable colors in a sea of potent, unstoppable energy.”
My life takes place in a magical world (very Wonderland-ish, darling) that is founded on imagination and extends beyond limitations (and a place that I can be completely potty in too — one has to be slightly mad to be happy, you know).
Passion no. 2
My writing is how I make sense of the deeper meaning of the inner and outer nonsense of my life. It feels good to get it down in black and white. The added bonus comes from having it resonate with someone ‘out there’.
“I am very passionate about my beliefs and started writing to ‘de-clutter’ my head.”
I like to simplify spiritual concepts and universal conundrums. I love slotting puzzle pieces of information together and seeing the metaphor behind all life experience unfold.
I have always been an inquisitive little blighter — I like to push the boundaries of existence and how I can better myself. Figuring out what the hell we are doing here is my life ambition and I think I’m pretty close to the answer — or am I? You’ll have to wait and see (or read, as it were). Life is so full of brilliant clues and markers that either point us in the direction of truth or steer us deeper into madness (or a bit of both).
This Matrixy-Wonderland of mine is indeed a very tricksy place to be and is always shifting and re-arranging itself to fit in with multi-dimensional and quantum theories.
I was also a contributing writer for Conscious Life News for 7 years and was a columnist for Odyssey magazine for 2 years (2016 – 2018).
I’ve written for various sites including Collective Evolution, Purpose Fairy, Creativity Portal and Lightworkers World.
Below are the books I’ve written:
Passion no.3
Then there is the music.
My main instrument is the bass guitar. I was in a band in my early 20’s and enjoyed the ‘rock’ scene. Our band was called ‘The Bends’ — yes, it was in the ’90’s’, and yes, we were all into Radiohead (and still are — well that goes for me, at least).
I thought my passion for playing was over when I started taking my art and writing more seriously. This was not the case (or maybe I’m having a mid-life crisis?) and, just recently, I accepted an invitation to be the bassist for Templeton Universe.
Templeton and ‘Templeton Universe‘ have no less than 5 available albums (‘Templeton’, ‘Boy on Bike’, ‘Twist’, ‘Headspace’ and ‘Between Lies’) from ambient rock to cosmic frequencies.
I’m so excited about getting back on that stage and playing original, kick-ass music!!! Visit our site HERE, our YOUTUBE channel can be found HERE and please like our FACEBOOK page HERE.
We did a successful crowd-funding project via Indiegogo for our latest album release, ‘Between Lies’ in 2017 and played our first festival in December 2017!
“There is so much to learn about how sound affects our life and I am only scratching the surface of this new concept.”
I’ve just recently combined my love of art with music (and a bit of writing too!) and produced the Rock(ing) Art Series — intuitively painting to rock music…CLICK HERE TO VIEW.
I also like to compose instrumental/meditative music.
I started doing this for myself as I was looking for a specific sound to use with my own meditations (see album to your right). My first album, ‘Nature Calling’, came out in 2009.
In Closing…We Begin
Everyone and everything has and is pure potential — I hope to open this concept up to as many people as possible through my work. Structure and order are important but creativity is essential to marry the two together and get the most out of your life experience.

Greetings Cherie! I found your site by googling ‘The Light is Love’ your article titled, Love and Light was top of the list, so I clicked and was pleased with my find. I look forward to reading more of your articles. I like your writing style and the message you convey.
In 2001, I was blessed with an awakening and a journey to the core of The Light and was given a message which I would like to share with you. In a telepathic manner I was told the following;
Everyone
And everything
That ever was
Or ever will be
Comes from The Light
And will return to The Light
The Light is Love
And everything else
Is an illusion
