What is this series all about?
I have taken 10 of my most influential/favourite bands and musicians and am doing 10 paintings — one painting per artist (from the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Jeff Buckley to Skunk Anansie and Muse, just to name a few).
It is what I like to call subliminal painting (or intuitive painting) — a process where I listen to the music whilst painting what comes through. So, I’m virtually tapping into the message behind the sound — then I blog about what emerges via words and photo’s of the painting process.
Intrigued?
All the blogs pertaining to each painting (photographs of the painting process, delving into the emotions and feelings behind the music and art — there is definite drama, intrigue, paranormal activity and romance involved) are available below the pictures (scroll to the end) — they are TOTALLY worth reading, I guarantee it! Or just CLICK HERE to get the full list in order. See pictures of the collection below…
NEWS FLASH!!! The ‘Rocking Art’ series is finished and the exhibition date has been booked (23rd December 2016). Please see poster below for details.
