Where Has the Art Gone?

For those of you who have been on this journey with me for a while, you may have noticed that there hasn’t been many ‘art’ blogs of late.

The truth is that I have kind of stopped painting. Yes, I know, a bit drastic but I needed to make a choice about 2 months ago.  It was either art or writing, I just couldn’t cope with both at the moment.  So I chose.

I am guest writing for about 7 sites now, not including my own and that is taking up most of my time.  However, for those of you who think I am a slave to the typewriter, I am really enjoying the writing and interaction of having my articles published.

I am also working on my second book, so you can imagine, I’m up to my eye-balls in words, scripts, concepts and ideas.

What About the Rock Art Series?

I am still going to finish up the ‘Rock Art’ project I started, in fact, I have made a start on the second painting yesterday.  The Beatles are inspiring my paintbrush into action this time.

If you have no idea of what the Rock Art Series is about, here is the link to the start of it:

10 Bands, 10 Paintings…Let the Rock Art Begin!

I’ll be posting the process over the next few weeks on Tuesdays blog.

Being an artist, I most likely will never stop, per say, I do intend to do the odd commission and paint for myself if the need strikes or the mood dictates.

Gone But Not Forgotten

For those who are weeping internally, do not despair — my art is going to be available through my Spiral Store as posters, canvas prints and all sorts of other goodies.  I am also negotiating a contract with a licensing company in the USA and you should be seeing some of my stuff in shops soon too.

The art will never die, it has just decided to be in the background for now.  🙂
