Why We May Be Feeling Disenchanted

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

My previous blog was about manifesting in the void (you can read it HERE), however, little did I know how vast, deep and probing this chasm was going to be.

This past week has shown me the strangest and most captivating metaphors through synchronicity and the enlightening banter of my noble tribe.  The penny dropped and I finally had my ‘a-ha’ moment today.

Two days ago I went on a downer and the key-word that kept on popping into my mind was ‘disenchanted’.  I felt utterly disenchanted.

What does that word mean?

Well, in a nutshell — disillusioned.  But wait a moment — there’s much more.

Enchantment implies magic.  I felt really upset because in this new paradigm we are supposed to be bringing magic back!  You know the drill, the Hogwarts feeling (infinite possibility) as opposed to the muggle world (3D, linear, patriarchal).

Some of us were merrily skipping down this yellow brick road to visit the land of Oz but now it feels like we’ve lost our ruby shoes!

The Never-Ending Story Begins

Let’s take a trip back in time.  Do you remember a movie called The Never-Ending Story?  If not, I’ll try to be succinct:

It was about a boy reading a fairy-tale book which was very real.  In fact, in the end he became co-creator of the story and it’s land, Fantasia.

The books magical kingdom was being consumed by ‘The Nothing’ (sounds a bit like the void, doesn’t it?  Perhaps even ‘dark matter’ — the creative space between space).

In the end, despite all the attempts by the heroes and heroines of the story, Fantasia was completely obliterated into nothingness.  It became void.

The boy and the Empress of Fantasia were the only ones left in the darkness of this empty space.  He was upset that he couldn’t save Fantasia but she assured him that he had.

He was confused because all he remembered was its destruction.  She told him that in this dark space of the void he had only but to think up a new Fantasia in order for it to appear once more — even more lush and beautiful than before.  And the more wishes he made for this new fantasy world to manifest into reality, the more amazing it would be (creating in the void/new paradigm energy).

Bingo!

Mourning the Passing of the Old World We Knew

I think this is where we are — in that void of infinite creation possibility.

However, we have had to turn around and look at the old paradigm and literally say our goodbyes.

We are now capable of stepping fully into the void/new manifestation zone and we are now having to fine-tune our desires, hopes and wishes for this new world to appear.

Nonetheless, saying farewell is never easy

It can be a very gut and/or heart-wrenching experience.

The old energy is what most of us grew up in — all the dreams and illusions of that paradigm are what we are familiar with.  Change and stepping out into the unfamiliar can be daunting but there is an electric anticipation sparking in the ether — can you feel it?

We are all about to boldly go where no man has gone before.

But we know we have to shed that ‘old paradigm’ skin and there are also things we can’t take with us into Zion.

So the energy of late has been all about detaching from the material world and ego, confronting our fears, standing in our power and working through our karma to be able to take that leap of faith into the new world.

Put on your hiking boots ’cause we’ve got a bridge to cross!
