Why You Should Ask Only Once

Ask Once Header

During a daily ‘quickie’ meditation me and my hubby do, Mike turns to me and asks, ‘Why do we keep on asking for the same thing — surely that shows you don’t trust the process?

I tried to defend the situation by saying that repetition and affirmation anchor a desire. Then I thought about what my wise partner had said. He was, of course, right.

Esther Hicks (who channels ‘Abraham’) even said that when you ask it is always given — a cache exists in the ether of things waiting to match your vibration so you can claim them.

We have now changed how we do things and ask only once and then, in our daily meditation, give thanks for having it and feel into that timeline.

What does that mean though?

It simply means that you only need to ask once and it is given. It is then your job to raise your vibration and sort out those limiting beliefs that keep you from your desire so that you can meet that dream/goal.

That sounds like a right trough of gobbledygook, doesn’t it? We hear about limiting beliefs and raising your vibration but how exactly do you do that?

The Easiest Solution to Life and the Universe

You, in the revolutionary words of Bashar, follow your highest excitement — which means that you live every second of every day in joy and following a path of least resistance to what is. Read related articleMaking Peace With the Chaos in Your Life

Ergo, if you need to go to the toilet — enjoy that experience. Be grateful for the toilet and the toilet tissue that you can gently caress your derriere with afterwards. If you feel you need to take a nap — do so with gratitude for your nice, warm bed and relish in the peace that comes with sleep. If you need to make a sandwich — make the best sarnie you can and give thanks for the food in your pantry.

Gratitude is a fierce force for raising your vibration. Following your passion and joy boosts your happiness levels. Do both and you’ll be whiz-banging all the way.

What about the moments that aren’t so pleasant? Say for instance: Paying the bills, going to work, cleaning the soap scum in the shower type-stuff?

Why do you believe that these things can be anything but pleasant?

  • If you can pay your bills then you are lucky! Give gratitude for the money you have and the service you are paying for. If you don’t have money, trust that everything will come to you as it should —not a moment too soon or too late. I’ve been doing this lately and it works a treat. At first, it’s harrowing but as you see the fluidity of how the universe works, you’ll start to Trust more.
  • If you don’t like your job, put out an intention to work somewhere more pleasant and then do your job to the best of SUBSCRIBE icon 1your ability — see if you can pick out the positive traits in the work you do. It might be a pleasant colleague or a great coffee machine. Start small and build it up even if the only positive thing you can glean is that you get paid for your services — then be grateful for that.
  • Make cleaning a game, put on some music and scrub to the beat. Be grateful that you have a shower. There are people out there who have to wash from a bucket.

These small things like giving thanks for food and having a warm bed, etc are stepping stones to raising your vibration.

In next week’s article I’m going to go into why we sometimes manifest tumult when we are trying to live our best lives. Stay tuned and don’t forget to subscribe to CLN.

How to Turn Disappointment into Opportunity

Disappointment - A new way to look at it

Disappointment: Your Passport to Greater Things

“Sometimes when you get disappointment it makes you stronger.” — David Rudisa

Some existential theories suggest that the Universe or our current reality is impartial — it’s neutral, like Switzerland. There is no meaning to life except that which we give it.

Now before this article starts to sound like a downer, I want to interject that this is actually an outrageously great opportunity and here’s why:

  1. If the Universe has no meaning (impartial, neutral, etc) and we are the ones giving it meaning (after all, it is our playground — our realm of freedom to choose) then we can change the game at any time which is cause for massive celebration!
  2. If we truly are creating our reality (as states the Law of Attraction — which, coincidentally, is also impartial. Read more about that here in this 4 part Law of Attraction series: LOA – Aligning with How You Are Feeling), then we are endowing meaning to our existence all the time whether we’re conscious of it or not. How about making a conscious decision to make it a good one, eh?
  3. We are at a tipping point when we are faced with disappointment — we can either choose to see it as a negative experience or choose to see it as some kind of Divine timing and fall into the arms of the Universe and Trust (with a big T) that the Universe has our backs no matter what.

Let me explain: When you trust with a big ‘T’ is simply means you know there is a bigger picture than the one you are experiencing. When someone breaks your trust (little ‘t’) you still Trust that there is a greater lesson for your soul in there. When you can do this, you’re going to put a positive spin on your life and all the situations you find yourself in. I learned this pearl of wisdom from Vicki Howie’s and her wonderful Chakra Boosting Course, which I highly recommend!

Choice — Your Gateway to Opportunity

“Disenchantment, whether it is a minor disappointment or a major shock, is the signal that things are moving into transition in our lives.” — William Throsby Bridges

If life is indeed meaningless and you give it meaning by your choices, you’re in the drivers seat! Every choice you make could be steering you to positive outcomes, if you allow yourself to charge your life in this new way.

My Recent Disappointment

I was recently very let down by someone that I trusted. I thought they were impeccable with their word and — long story short — they weren’t.

At first I vented out my anger and had a good rant. You know the type, ‘how could they do this to me?’, ‘what an asshole!’, ‘why do people act this way — don’t they have any scruples?’. I’m a huge advocate of letting out your emotions. Think of it like a kettle boiling on the burner with the lid on — you’ve got to relieve the lid at some point to let the steam out, right?

SUBSCRIBE icon 1When I’d done my venting and had let out of my system all that needed to be — I started to ask myself these 2 important questions:

  1. What was my lesson? I concluded that this person I was dealing with was not impeccable with their word and that I needed to be cautious with them — which is why I got this ‘little burn’. In fact, by heeding the warning signs of this first let down,  I may have prevented having a kettle full of hot water poured down my front by their actions. Rather a little burn than being scalded.
  2. Is there perhaps something better around the corner that this fallen through agreement has made space for? Yes! I believe so. I don’t know what it is yet but I’m paving the way to give this situation a positive meaning. I trust that everything happens for a reason and that the Universe has my back (‘big T’ Trust in action). The timing is indeed Divine and I’ll curiously await either a better opportunity than the one on offer or keep my eyes peeled for a crisis I may have averted.
