Did You Know That ‘Abracadabra’ Really is a Magically Loaded Word?

Featured

It is said that the magic word, ‘Abracadabra’ may have Aramaic origins meaning ‘I create as I speak’. Not such a childish word after all, eh?

Law of Attraction fundi’s (a nifty little African word for ‘experts’) will probably resonate with the above definition of this magical incantation — is it ringing a few bells for you?

As you may be aware already, there are 3 fundamental steps to using the LOA:

  • Ask (formulate the desire or thought then write it down/and or verbalize it)
  • Believe (embody the feeling of having what you want)
  • Receive (make believe as if you have it already, act like you have it, speak as if you have it, know that it is coming and…voila!)

Create Your Life Through Magic

Is magic real? The dictionary definition for magic says it all:

The power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces.”

Well, my friend, you are that mysterious force!

What is the difference between prayers, affirmations and spells? In my opinion…nothing. They are just different tools to accomplish the same thing.

We all know that words are powerful. Their very vibration can heal us, build us up, convey our love or sway us to kill each other, tear us down, cast doubt and pain…you get the picture.

How you use the word is your baby — as is using any kind of energy (words are energetic as they carry a frequency). It’s a responsibility in and of itself.

Hate speech or gossip can greatly affect the lives of the people you are casting the words at or about. Speaking positive, loving words can also affect the ones we are directing the energy towards.

Which Team Are You On?

There are pretty much 2 teams that I know of:

  1. Service to self or
  2. Service to others.

If you want to get clearer on the above terms, read this: What is Service to Self (STS) and Service to Others (STO)?

“A person standing in the light has a shadow.  A person standing in the dark has none.  What does this mean?  Even the best of us have shadows.” Read more about the Shadow Self here.

Even Star Wars brings up this concept through the Sith and the Jedi.

The Sith are classically STS and the Jedi are STO. They both know how to use The Force and there is a fine line that separates ‘good’ from ‘evil’ (something we all must discover within — use our intuition/discernment) which is why it is important to work on accepting and understanding your shadow self.

Did you know you’re already an all-encompassing magician? Let me explain…

Party Tricks and Life Conundrums

We all use words, don’t we? Every day. For some of us, every second of every day.

I create as I speakOn some level, you have been casting spells all the time. Look back at your life and try to see how the words you use — to describe yourself or your body, your partner, your children/family/friends, your colleagues, your job, your finances, your car, your neighborhood — are all what you may be experiencing now.

It’s one thing to know a good card trick or to pull something out of the hat but it’s another thing to consciously realize that every thought you think, every word you utter is a declaration of what you are calling into being.

Makes you think, doesn’t it? It also makes you want to staple your gob shut! Lol. Good news is, you can direct your words through awareness.

Here’s what you CAN do to be more mindful of the words you are speaking and how it can change your life and the lives of those around you:

  1. You can easily catch yourself gossiping and turn it around or just stop, apologize to whomever you are speaking to and explain that this is not serving anyone.
  2. You can undoubtedly stop criticizing yourself, your appearance, your children, your partner or anyone else when you’re alert.
  3. You can assuredly choose better words to describe your situation, whatever it may be, to reflect a proclamation of what you want instead of what you think ‘is’. Life doesn’t have to be what it is right now if that’s not what you want. What you are experiencing now is the magic performed yesterday. You’re not a victim of circumstance — you can participate right now in creating a new life as if by magic (*wink, wink, nudge, nudge*).

Hocus pocus? Well, if you think so then so shall it be. That’s how magical you are, you prestidigitator!

Let’s Talk About Green Stuff — It May Not Be What You Think!

The Secret Ingredient to Happiness

Featured

‘Love is what binds us, respect is what unites us. To have love and respect for all life forms guarantees you an excellent quality of life because you will be walking around in sheer reverence to all you come across. There will never be a dull or uninspired moment.’

You want to know what that tangy little secret ingredient is, right? You clicked on this article because you’re itching to find out if you own this substance — if it’s hiding in your pantry waiting to be shaken in to the soup of existence. You want that brilliant and fulfilling life, don’t you?

Well then, you may initially be disappointed to know that the secret is not going to be found in:

  • great looks (sorry…pouting for the next Instagram selfie just ain’t going to bring you lasting satisfaction),
  • money (money can’t buy you love — thanks Mr Lennon/McCartney for those words of wisdom),
  • stardom (celebrity is as celebrity does…you can have fame and be happy — if you possess the ingredient — but fame itself is barren without it),
  • recognition (it’s nice to be ‘noticed’ for your achievements but that still won’t fill the void).

While all the above attributes may bring temporary satisfaction, none of them will necessarily contribute to lasting joy.

That can only be found in one tasty ingredient.

But first let’s examine what could bring this entire planet into alignment (metaphysically speaking, that is).

What We Can Do NOW to Expedite Love in the World

In Lak’ech Ala K’in is a Mayan saying that simply translated means ‘I am another you‘ or ‘I am you, you are me.

This principle begs us to treat each other with appreciation — it asks us to see our sisters/brothers from other mothers as our own kin. It implores us to love all the children of the world as if they emerged from your own womb/seed. We need to rekindle the spark that respects everyone and everything’s right to life and a reverence for existence.

When you are able to love yourself (not to be mistaken with narcissism or selfishness), you naturally begin to love and respect others as well as every other form of life you encounter — including inanimate objects.

Huh?

Everything on this planet has a presence, from the rocks, plants and animals to the soil, worms and the very core of the earth itself.

Imagine a world where everyone had the exact same amount of love and respect for EVERY life form as they do for their own self (assuming that you have mastered the ability of self-love, that is).

‘Self-love is the source of all our other loves.’ — Pierre Corneille

But now we’re encroaching on the nitty-gritty…the ingredient!

Stocking Your Pantry With*Drumroll*…

The secret ingredient, self love.

‘Respect yourself and others will respect you.’ — Confucius

You can’t possibly expect other people to love you if you don’t love yourself. It may appear as if people love you but if you harbor resentment, self-hate or any kind of negative emotion towards yourself, you’re setting yourself up for huge pitfalls in all your other relationships.

I’ve heard people say that they can’t love themselves because of all their ‘imperfections’.

Just the word ‘imperfect’ states that I’m perfect.

You’ve got to learn to love all the ‘I’m Perfects’ in yourself. I’m not talking about empty affirmations, I’m talking about getting down deep and dirty and dusting out all the corners of your self. Ask yourself:

  1. What is it I don’t like about myself?
  2. Can I do anything about it?
  3. If yes, am I willing to change and start loving myself through the process?
  4. If not, can I learn to love the way I am instead of the way I think I ought to be?
  5. Is it society/family/friends/religion that prevents me from accepting myself?
  6. If none of the above existed would I feel happy with who I am?

‘Know Thyself.’ — Greek Proverb

You’ve got to mine yourself for these answers. Whatever you come up with, then ask yourself:

If this trait was in someone else (preferably someone you love — like your partner/child/favorite celebrity) would you still love them?

The answer, in my experience, is usually an emphatic ‘Yes!’. So, why don’t we give ourselves the same leeway?

Related article: Why Being Weird is Unusually Cool!

IMHO…Weird is Wonderful!

If you don’t love yourself for:

  • something you’ve done in the past then try to make amends for it and/or forgive yourself. If you find it difficult to forgive others then you may find that it’s because you are not forgiving yourself for something. If you find it easy to forgive others but not yourself, you need to question why you think you’re not worth it. Every single person is a creation of Source and, yes, that includes you! You need to embrace the inner divinity that is craving your love.
  • the way you look then try to remember that the most intriguing people are beautiful despite not having ‘model’ looks (beauty is in the eye of the beholder and in having moxy!). Sometimes what we consider hideous others consider unique and beguiling. Your personality and integrity is what is most attractive. Get the inside right and the outside will glow — even if you don’t look like J-Lo.
  • certain traits that you feel you can’t change. Remember that you can completely turn your life around if you think you can. If you feel you can’t change your actions or ways, you’re wrong. When you are aware of something within you that needs to be worked on, you can do or change anything! But remember to love yourself through the process.

Self love will change the world as we know it. Everything I’ve studied to date with regards to the human condition and self development has always led me back to self love. Without it we are lost. With it we are whole. With it, we can change the world.

I love you, you are worth it!

Open Your Third Eye and Awaken Your Pineal Gland With These Simple Exercises (This Really Works!)

In Thought

CLN Editor’s Note: I tried the Awakening I exercise last night, honestly not expecting much. But wow does this work. About three minutes after completing the exercise, my forehead began to tingle, and suddenly I felt a rapid sense of expansion in the middle of my brain (where the pineal gland is located), along with an uplifted and expanded state of consciousness bordering on a mild and pleasant pyschedelic experience. I will be doing this exercise daily from now on until it’s time for Activation II, and encourage you to try them for yourself.

Awaken Your Third Eye — The Easy Way

By Lapis Links, CureZone Blogs

Note: Original article edited by CLN for formatting and clarity

AWAKENING I:

Please read all of the following;

If you wish to perform this exercise, you need to understand what you will be doing. It is important to follow the instructions as this is somewhat advanced:

The Third Eye is directly related to the 6th chakra — the psychic chakra, located on the middle of the forehead above the brows. It is closely associated with the “pineal” gland. The pineal gland is dormant in most people, as is the true Third Eye.

French Philosopher Rene Descartes believed the pineal gland to be “the seat of the soul” where mind and body met.

In the average person, the pineal gland is atrophied, [calcified] and dormant. The following exercise will change that.
Please read this thoroughly, as much of the exercises I write of are very advanced and can cause problems if one does not do them correctly.

The pineal gland is like a pea in size; like a shriveled raisin in most people where it remains dormant.

Opening the pineal gland/3rd eye:

This is done with a specific tone and chant. You only need to do this exercise for 3 days, afterwards, it is permanent.

The mantra to be used is “Thoh,” pronounced “TOE.”

It must be within the correct vibration.

Not deep, not high pitched, inbetween, like alto range.

You will feel it when you hit the correct tone. So play around and don’t second guess yourself. When you think you’ve got it, you probably do.

1. Sit with your back straight.

2. Breathe in through your nose and hold your breath as long as is comfortable.

Open your jaws so there is a small space between your top and bottom teeth.

Place the tip of your tongue between the space of your slightly parted teeth.

3. Put a very light pressure onto the tongue with your teeth.

This is like the same process of saying the “TH” part of the English word “the.”

Once your tongue is in position, release your breath slowly through your mouth, saying T-H-H-O-H-H in one long exhale.

Say the word one time per exhale. Your tongue will be vibrating between your teeth.

You should feel the air moving past your tongue and teeth.

If this technique is done properly, you will feel a pressure or sensation in your jaw and cheeks. The tone will also vibrate in your third eye.

It may take a few seconds to adjust this, don’t worry, just keep going.

4. Do the above 5 times in a row.

5. It is very important the above exercise be done for 3 consecutive days, 24 hours apart. Then it is a done deal.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

1. One of the first experiences is a headache or pressure in the center of the forehead. This sensation may also feel like it is originating from within, usually an inch or more beneath the surface of the forehead. This is a positive indication the pineal gland is awakening and beginning to function in a healthy manner.

*Some people can experience a migrane lasting several hours, so to be safe it is recommended that you try this in the evening when you do not have work to do. The severity of the side effects will depend on how atrophied/calcified your pineal gland is to begin with.

2. After the occurence of headache or pressure in the forehead, you may wake up one morning with a throbbing or tingling sensation in your forehead; it may feel like a goosebump.

The feeling may be very intense, like something is there. The sensation of pulsing or throbbing will continue throughout the day, and you may “hear” sounds coming from within your head, such as light popping or crackling sensations.

These are the final phisiological events you may experience after opening up your third eye.
It indicates your pineal gland is awakened, functioning and alive.

PSYCHIC EFFECTS:

You may experience any or all of these to varying degrees:
  • Faster, easier learning and retention
  • Marked increase in intuition
  • Increased creativity
  • Psychic gifts develop and become markedly stronger, along with more developed ability to see or sense human auras
  • Clairvoyance (psychic vision) opens up
  • Clairaudience (psychic hearing) opens up
  • Clairsentience (psychic feeling/touching) opens up

This is a very powerful exercise, and as with all powerful practices, your body may go through discomfort in order to adapt.

CLN Editor’s Note: I have taken considerable steps over the past few years to awaken and decalcify my pineal gland, and as such, I experienced no side effects other than an intense but not-uncomfortable feeling of pressure in my forehead and third eye that was just shy of a headache. So not everyone will experience side effects.

AWAKENING II

In order for this to work properly, you must have already performed the Awakening I exercise.

I included this above for those who are new.

It is very important to wait for 10-14 days following Awakening I, before you go onto Awakening II, otherwise the exercises won’t be effective. Your body needs time to adapt and get the energy flow going.

This exercise is completely euphoric and intensley pleasurable. Unlike Awakening I, this should be done once a week, and given the blissful effects that are lasting when done correctly, most people will enjoy doing so.

Breath in deeply and hold your breath for a count of five.

Repeat this three times.

This helps you to be relaxed and focused.

Now focus all of your attention upon your third eye.

You should begin to feel a sensation similar to the effects of the Awakening I exercise — a slight pressure or awareness of the spot of your third eye.

Now, take a deep breath as you did for the Awakening I exercise.

Hold it for as long as comfortable  — do not push this —  and release your breath, vibrating the word “MAY.” This is pronounced like the English language word for the month of May.

It should all come out at one time- M-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ay, gradually and slowly.

It is ok to adjust your pitch. The tone should be alto.

Breath in again, and repeat this five times.

You need to hit a certain pitch. You will know when you do, for you will feel this in your head. Do the best you can.

Now, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT:

When vibrating the word “MAY,” feel the energy going into your head,
first into your third eye area,
then into the middle of your brain,
and then to the top of your head where your crown chakra is located.

REMEMBER: Concentrate on your forehead (third eye area),
then the middle of your brain
and finally the top of your head.

This is done for the duration of each chant.

1. Breath in.

2. Begin to exhale, vibrating “MAY.”

3. Concentrate on your third eye.

4. Concentrate on the middle of your brain.

5. Concentrate on the top of your head and finish exhaling the vibration.

Repeat four more times.

The effects of this exercise are extremely pleasurable.

A feeling of lightnesss can occur immediately following the exercise.

Some people may feel energy or tingling inside their heads, or completely covering their heads; a slight presure in the crown area and intense euphoria is also common.

The blissful state can occur hours and even days later.

This will eventually become permanent and will greatly assist in void meditation, clairvoyance, and the development of other psychic and paranormal senses.

How to Use Your Heart Wisdom

Lady of the Forest by Cherie Roe Dirksen

We hear the terms ‘heart-centered living’ and ‘using your heart’ thrown around a lot in conversation and literature these days but how do we practically do this?  What wisdom does our heart really have?

“There is no instinct like that of the heart.” ~ Lord Byron

Piercing the Heart Mystery

When I think of using my heart and not my head to gauge situations, it conjures feelings of love (synonymous with our ‘hearts’) and trusting my intuition.  However, it still baffles me a bit…well at least up until a recent experience I had (I promise to divulge all the juicy bits further on in this article).

In my experience, heart wisdom has got as much to do with our physical heart organ as mind has to do with our physical brain.

The process of working with your heart guidance is better likened to a hunk of awareness that clusters in the area of your heart.  You drop into that space, which is the center of your being — your core — and you try to sense your inborn intelligence…something called the innate.

This is how I see it, or rather, how I feel it.

The Moving Around of Consciousness

When we are thinking and talking, our consciousness is usually felt in the head.  See if you can feel your consciousness right now.  Does it feel like it’s all sitting up in your noggin?

Now see if you can drop that sense of conscious awareness into your heart center (which is actually your heart chakra — in the middle of your chest).

I feel it’s all about focusing that consciousness wherever it is needed.  Sometimes, we can drop that awareness into our solar plexus to ‘feel’ for our gut instinct.  When we are faced with challenges, it’s best to sense our answers from the heart chakra and when we need to take action (after we have processed through the heart), we move our awareness up into our head.

It’s a Combo Deal

We need to get used to using all our bodily ‘brains’ to face the challenges of living in this chaotic and, yet, oh so beautiful world.

“The heart is the chief feature of a functioning mind.” ~ Frank Lloyd Wright

We have brains in our skull, for sure, but you can also say we have intelligence dotted all over the body — in our gut, in our heart, in our pineal, in our feet and so on.  Most of us have just lost the inherent ability to use them all.

Thumbs Up to a Helpful Heart

Okay, so here’s my story about how I finally ‘got’ using the heart guidance:

Heart Intelligence Quote by Cherie Roe DirksenA couple of days ago I got my thumb slammed in the hinge-side of my car door…and this is where I’m going to introduce you to the South African word (Afrikaans to be precise), ‘Eina!’  Pronounced ‘aye – naa’ and it means PAIN.

After using ice pack after ice pack to numb the pain, I knew it was inevitable that I would have to leave the cold comfort of my plastic glacial crutch and feel the damage.

This is where the head came into play.

My thoughts wandered all over my thumb piercing the excruciating throbbing and feelings of heat and swelling.  It was obviously necessary to feel that my appendage was damaged (if we didn’t feel the pain, we wouldn’t be alerted to a problem).

Right, so now that I was alerted to my body’s distress call and felt the busy little repair army coming to do its job, I wondered, ‘so what is the point of still feeling the pain?  I know I’m hurt — I’ve done all I can to ‘doctor’ myself…why can’t we just ‘switch off’?’

“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart … Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” ~ Carl Jung

Then, by some weird miraculous notion, I started to move my consciousness into my heart center.  It was kind of spontaneous and I went with it.  I focused all my awareness in the space of my chest and ‘thought’ from there.  The pain subsided until it was completely gone and all I was left with was the throb.

I scanned my thumb with my heart mind and was still alert to the pounding (almost as if the body is still reminding you that there is a ‘crisis’ being seen to) but without the pain.

Hallelujah!

For the next half hour I sat switching from mind (experiencing the pain) to heart (no pain), just to make sure I wasn’t delusional.  It worked every time!

Alchemy and the Heart — Turning Our Experiences into Gold!

It’s still early days for me and my new found heart/mind appreciation.  I’m not professing to now be in full control of pain but I sure got a glimpse of how our amazing system works, or should work.

Pain is necessary to alert us to something that is out of alignment (this can be taken both physically or mentally/emotionally) but could it be that we don’t have to suffer as a consequence?  That using our mind to do all the thinking is actually causing us unnecessary suffering?

It’s something to ponder, or should I say, something we should at least try to explore or sense. within ourselves — shifting from perpetual overthinking to heart-centered awareness.

Could it be that our heart-centers are our own personal Philosophers Stone — alchemizing situations to their most basic core?

I’ve sensed that our hearts are divination tools to the truth.  When we drop into our hearts we operate from completeness — from the wholeness of our sacred soul.

“The workings of the human heart are the profoundest mystery of the universe. One moment they make us despair of our kind, and the next we see in them the reflection of the divine image.” ~ Charles W. Chestnut

It’s pure bliss to drop into our hearts — when it is done effectively it feels like everything is as it should be and that the only truth is unconditional, unequivocal love.

We are spirit having a corporeal experience therefore it is necessary to be mindful of our thoughts and the physical actions we need to take in order to sustain our material endeavor.  However, strive to trust the innate wisdom of the heart and use it as often as possible as a balancing, neutralizing force in our lives.

“If I keep a green bough in my heart, then the singing bird will come.” ~ Chinese Proverb

3 Unusual Steps to Mapping Your Way Through Life

Free Spirit by Cherie Roe Dirksen

“Sci-fi has never really been my bag. But I do believe in a lot of weird things these days, such as synchronicity. Quantum physics suggests it’s possible, so why not?” — John Cleese

We all hit junctions — those dreaded forks in the road — at certain epochs of our lives.  The thing that frightens us the most is ‘are we making the right choice?’ when we embark on any new venture or life altering choice.

I’m going to discuss how to navigate confidently and without doubt (and without a map — just using your internal GPS) those important life decisions in 3 easy steps.  But first let’s look at why we don’t need maps, books, guru’s or anything else outside ourselves to soldier on in this blossoming age of Aquarius.

What is Heart-Centered Living Really About?

The pivotal ethos to living in this new era or paradigm is to be focused on heart-guidance.

What is heart-guidance?

It’s not some wishy-washy glitter banter that requires you to don a floral bandana, fish out the bell bottoms and dance around a campfire singing ‘Kumbaya’ — it’s a serious new way of approaching our inner strength, power and ability to tap into the essence of all that is.

In a nutshell, it’s the vital self empowerment tool.

Think of heart-centered living as trusting your intuition — the superconscious universal mind.  It’s the Divine Soup that makes up existence and simmers with creative potential.

External Crutches Be Gone!

When we follow our thinking alone, we tend to seek external help.  We labour under the delusion that we are not good enough and that there must be someone out there who knows more than we do, so we seek the knowledge for progress outside of ourselves.

Fat lot of good that’s done us so far, right?

It’s not that some people or information can’t help us, it’s the principle that any external help is merely an aid not a solution.  Going inside is inevitably the only way.  We are creatures of ingrained habit and following a path that we can only see a foot ahead is no easy feat — that is one of the reasons why we slip back into old ways of doing things that feel safe.

However, there is no real safety in repetitive behavior that doesn’t lead to necessary growth.

When we trust our instincts, no matter how ‘unplannned’ (meaning that we have no step-by-step plan on how to get there), we embark on a journey that is intuitive and that is why your synchronicity feelers need to be out there tracking the waves of the universe (I’ll discuss more about synchronicity below).

When you first approach the heart (what you feel is right) and marry that with the head (the course of action to take) you are using heart-centered guidance.

So, it’s not so hippy after all, eh?  It’s about bringing the two into balance.

You’re going to be out of whack if you use only your head or only your heart.  It’s the old Yin and Yang aspect of self again.  You can’t lean too heavy on either side — you need to find that Goldilocks zone to get the balance right.

Let’s get to the 3 steps of using that inner GPS system:

  1. Intuition — This is going with your gut instinct or listening to your heart.  You know what makes you happy and what doesn’t.  Most of us run on auto-pilot and let the subconscious mind take over which usually leads us to repetitive behavior and not expansive creation.  Using the intuition or heart center will help you to tap into the superconscious mind (read more about the superconscious and subconscious mind HERE).
  2. Synchronicity — Trust in those meaningful encounters and situations, they are not mere ‘coincidences’ , they are actually pointers from spirit that guide us to the right path.  If you have no idea what synchronicity is, then I strongly urge you to read more about it HERE — it could change your life and way of thinking.  We are made of energy and exude a certain frequency or vibration with our emotions — especially the highly charged variety.  When we send out a vibration into the universe it is matched and then certain markers are sent back to us as precursors to the frequency we are trying to manifest.  If we ignore those markers, we could end up ignoring the trail that is lighting up for us to follow. This is why synchronicity is vital to take note of.
  3. Flow — We’ve got to keep making sure that we are surrendering to the universal flow.  If we struggle against what is and try to paddle furiously against the stream of the present moment, life becomes a floundering fight.  If we give in and stop resisting, we let the current take us with grace and ease to our destination.  How do you slip into this flow?  Be at peace with yourself and your NOW moment.  Trust that you are heading in the direction of your greater good and keep aligning your self to joy and being in touch with spirit.  Get plenty of rest, meditate and try to feel that everything is in Divine Order.  What you inject (through feeling and intent) into the present is what you will reap in your future NOW moment.

Happy Trail Blazing!
