Are You Ready to Enjoy Life?

Are you ready to enjoy life?

“A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.” ~Lao Tzu

It’s so hard to ‘let go’ of your goals or the outcomes you desire once you’ve dreamed them up and even harder to know, intrinsically, that this is exactly what you must do in order to receive what you are asking for.

However, it may not be as hard as you thought.

Life is about enjoyment and following your bliss in every moment (yes, even when you’re cleaning the toilet!).

Changing Perspectives

Oh weary traveler of existential reality, I’m sure you’ve wanted to take those muddy, worn-out boots off and hang up your coat many times. Through the infinite trials and tribulations of your life, have you not perhaps caught a whiff that this sojourn is all about perspective? And there are close to 8 billion perspectives on Earth in this very NOW moment!

Thankfully, the only point of view that you need to concern yourself about is your own.

When you can take charge of the viewpoint of your current circumstance, you have every power to infuse it with an appropriate vibration.

“A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world: everyone you meet is your mirror.” ~Ken Keyes, Jr.

Let’s go back to cleaning the toilet…

It’s a job that needs doing, so, instead of dreading it — how about trying out these new perspectives?

  • Aren’t you lucky to have an indoor toilet? (saturate the task with gratitude)
  • Try seeing the task as fun, be your own Cinderella and relish in the cleansing foam and fresh new smell you have procured! (fill the task with delightful results to the best of your ability)
  • If you can’t do any of the above, try putting on some music. At the very least, you can have a good sing-song while you’re at it (make it fun)

This may seem a ridiculous example but it can be applied to almost anything (you can invent your own ways to imbue your situation with bliss).

This is really the key to life as far as I see it.

To follow your excitement in any given moment not only raises your vibration but opens the floodgates of what you do want to experience to remain and also, magically, allows the trapped energy of what you don’t want to leave.

Life starts to snowball into a joyous experience.

Enjoying the journey is easy when you can see that it’s all up to you to experience this life as good or bad. Reaching the destination has its rewards but then you’re most likely going to embark on another adventure. So, literally, you are in the traveling state far more than in the arriving state.

The journey is where the juice is — start squeezing and revel in the sweet taste of every NOW moment.

There are simple yet effective habits that free-thinking, progressive people adopt to raise their vibration and stay in a place of joy, creativity, serenity and love. If you’re feeling lost or disconnected from your life purpose, passion and spirit, then Cherie Roe Dirksen may have some helpful tips to keep you pointed in the right direction as well as being an inspiration to others:

The Many Distractions of Modern Day Life

Many of us mere mortals find it difficult to keep our motivation in a constant, healthy flow — sometimes our muse takes a vacation to Ibiza and leaves us holding the fort back home without ink in our wells or paint in our palettes (or Chardonnay in our fridges).

It also doesn’t help when life throws constant distractions our way — the good, the bad and the downright despicable.

We tend to fall into the trap of circumnavigating what’s really important in lieu of catching that new mini series that everyone’s been talking about — and being sucked in for a season or six — or endlessly perusing sites and social media in an attempt to get nowhere in a slow and time-consuming manner.

Time is precious, use it shrewdly.

What does it take to be inspired?

If you feel like you’ve lost the plot and your inspiration levels have ground down to zero then there is a solar powered light at the end of your tunnel. There is great wisdom to be gleaned in the enlightened words of Lao Tzu who penned:

In dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep to the simple. In conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don’t try to control. In work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present.

Let’s take a look at the ways you can bring this concept into your life. You too can stay grounded and connected to source and that infinite supply of inspiration by:

  1. Feeling Your Spirit — when you tap into your innate, you’ll find the peace that dwells within. Engaging in that peace (through meditation, breath-work, yoga, prayer, being in nature, etc.) will bring about more and more harmony. Being in this space not only brings you closer to Source but it’s the breeding ground where all bodacious types of magic and inspiration are born.
  2. Paying Close Attention to the Natural World — when we ‘live close to the ground’ we engage and interact with Gaia — the spirit of this physical world we were born into. When we literally get dirty and immerse our feet in the soil, breathe in the sweet and fruity fragrance of the spring blossoms, dip our hands into a cool brook, study the busy activities of the birds up above and contemplate the majesty of a delicate flower — we step into awe and wonder at a system we cannot fully comprehend but are full of respect for. Paying very close attention to the natural kingdom can show us meaning and understanding in our own personal struggles. Become more aware when you are outdoors — look, listen, learn and drink in the beauty that surrounds and wants to interact with you.
  3. Seeing Divinity Everywhere and in Everything — it’s easy to forget that Source is omnipotent. When you remind yourself and experience the verity that the God-force is in every living thing, you can begin to shift your perspective to align with gratitude. Source is ready to commune with you — are you willing to receive the blessing?
  4. Aligning Your Thoughts with Spirit — our thoughts can steer us in the right or wrong direction. Don’t forget to check in with your innate, on occasion, to monitor if your feelings or gut instincts are in vibrational alignment with your spirit. If you’re veering onto a path that feels wrong, you can always change your destination by choosing new thoughts.

A Request For More Videos

I have managed to record a short and sweet blurb on following your bliss for all my readers out there who are more keen on watching than reading :D.  You know who you are!

“Of all the spiritual and self-help books I’ve read, courses and workshops I’ve attended and inner work I’ve done – one question keeps popping up:  What is my purpose?  With equal vehemency, I’ve also found that the answer to this question is always and emphatically:  Joy.  Joy is your purpose.”

I’ll be discussing the steps you can take today to recognize and follow through on your passions.

  • Ever thought of leaving your job to do something you really want to do?
  • Been too scared to take the leap?
  • Finding it hard to take action?
  • Or perhaps you don’t even know what you want to do?
  • Maybe you don’t know how to make the transition?

I may be able to help.

Of all the spiritual and self-help books I’ve read, courses and workshops I’ve attended and inner work I’ve done — one question keeps popping up:

  • What is my purpose?

With equal vehemency, I’ve also found that the answer to this question is always and emphatically:

  • Joy.

Joy is your purpose.
