How to Tame the ‘Monkey Mind’

You’ve heard of the monkey mind, right?

It’s the Buddhist term meaning a restless, unsettled, confused, inconstant, indecisive and somewhat uncontrollable state of mind. It’s when the ego thinks it’s in control and uses the mind (thoughts) as its conduit — a state most of us have found ourselves in from time to time (or, for some, all the time).

Monkey Business

Unfortunately, these ‘thoughts’ think they run the show (from the mind, which is running ape-shit — excuse the phrase but I had to). This impish-rogue, primate mind can only take you so far and no further. That’s why you can reach a stalemate in your life if you’re blocked from your higher states as the egoic mind is only a shadow of the higher mind.

My penny dropped about how I’ve been trying to manifest according to my unconscious (associated with beliefs), subconscious (associated with emotions) limiting beliefs.

Let me explain:

  1. I am certain that reality is an illusion, a kind of virtual reality — a playground for our divine, little souls to run amok. Read related article: The Holographic Universe and The Illusion of Separation
  2. The only thing that is ‘real’ per se is our existence or oversoul/individual soul/higher self. Think of the SIMS game — you, the oversoul, are playing in virtual reality creating families, communities and playing with the concept of individuation, freedom of choice and ‘life’.
  3. Now this ‘higher mind’ is the one with the overview (not the monkey mind or egoic mind — it can’t see further than your nose). Think of the higher self as the one standing on top of a skyscraper looking out on the city below — it can see all the streets and happenings taking place. Think of you, the part of the self in physical matter, as being on the ground — you’re level of perception is looking down an avenue and only seeing what is directly before you. You are not getting the birds eye-view of the higher self up there gazing upon all possibilities below. Say for example (and this is going to be a very simple example but you’ll get the idea): you want a coffee. The monkey mind can smell coffee brewing but takes you on a wild goose chase all over the city thinking it can pinpoint the location. If you had asked the higher self, it could have told you to take a right and a left and…Starbucks. Headquarters or HQ (what I like to call the higher mind) can see the quickest route while monkey mind is still swinging from branch to branch.

Let go of the monkey mind version of how you want your life to transpire and let in the guidance of the higher mind. The egoic mind can only create from past events. It has no idea of future infinite possibilities because it hasn’t been played out across the minds screen yet, it was not made to do so. That is why when you ask for something you shouldn’t try to conceive of how you’re going to get it — your job is only the asking or the ‘vision’ of what you want not how you’re going to manifest it. Only the higher mind can see the possibilities laid out before you. Have you ever manifested something by letting go of the control aspect? Did you find that you could never have dreamed it possible to show up in the way it did and were fascinated at all the signs and synchronicities (read related article: Why Synchronicity Can Change Your Life) that led you to said manifestation? That’s because your higher self has the overview and not the ego mind.
  5. When you let go and tap into your intuition, cultivating a bond between physical mind and higher mind, you will allow infinite possibilities and realities to flow through you without the resistance and persistence of the monkey mind getting in the way. The ego thinks it knows everything but it doesn’t, it is only necessary to keep you functioning on an individual capacity in physicality (as far as I can tell). This means that we need the ego to keep us engaged on earth or we’d probably want to go back ‘home’ — you get my drift, right?
  6. So, let the higher mind pick out the destination (it knows what you came here to do, so let it do its job), you need to be open to receive the package via the physical mind and then interpret it through the physical experience. It’s really quite simple — law of least effort type stuff, savvy?

I recently applied this monkey mind vs. higher mind stuff to one of my life situations and had to laugh. I was trying to conceive the situation as ‘thus’ (via my chimp noodle) when the situation was ‘this’ (something completely different and couldn’t have possibly conceived through the ego mind until I let HQ speak up). Suffice it to say, I was WAY off course but things slipped into understanding when I got out of my own way.

So, how do you get out of the ego mind and step into the higher mind?

Easy! Have fun…lot’s of it! Follow your bliss. Do what excites you, even if it’s making a tasty sandwich, going for a walk or putting on some music and dancing. Follow your bliss — I can’t say that phrase enough.

The easiest way to a higher vibration (because that is where all the good shit is happening, my friend) is through joy, excitement, love and all the other delicious higher vibrational feelings. 2 Dances You’re Going to Want to Learn Today to Manifest Like a Pro

Manifest Your Bliss

Straight off the cuff, the 2 dances I’m going to step around are avoidance and abundance. Let’s take a slightly different look at these 2 interesting jigs:

Dance no. 1 — The Void Dance

According to Bashar (an entity — channeled through Darryl Anka — whose favorite element happens to be ‘the void’), we don’t need to — in essence — ‘attract’ anything into our lives because everything we could want already exists.

Everything we could ever think of doing is being played out in parallel dimensions, it’s just our job to ‘tune’ into the vibrational match or frequency of what we want/that which brings us the most excitement.

Seeing as we are all creator gods, we don’t need to do anything but hone our vibration to change tracks. To do this, you need to: Believe, think and feel what it is you want AND, to add my twist, engage in avoidance (but not in the way you may think!).

The only thing KEEPING us from experiencing that which we want is the layers of limiting beliefs we’ve clogged our auric airwaves with. So, avoidance could be really useful when using it to samba from a completely different perspective.

The dictionary definition of the word ‘avoidance‘ is:

  1. The action of keeping away from or not doing something. — in this case, deflect limiting beliefs and keep them away from your frequency! Tell those limiting beliefs to take a hike — don’t buy into them anymore!
  2. The action of repudiating, nullifying, or rendering void a decree or contract. — in this case, render your limiting belief contracts null and void! Everything is neutral (void) until YOU give it meaning.

Taking a fresh look at the word avoidance (in the above sense) is a good way to exercise your right to keep away the limiting beliefs and to cancel your subscription tot hem. Do this and let the natural state of being — joy — radiate through!

Perspective is key. This does NOT give you a permission slip to avoid the important things like taking action, looking out for synchronicity and getting clear on your thoughts and feelings!!! Read related article: Why Synchronicity Can Change Your Life

How to Tango in the Void

In the Tao Te Ching you can use the Tao any way you want — it is empty but inexhaustible (sounds like the void, right?). What is the Tao? In Chinese philosophy, it is the absolute principle underlying the universe. It is a combination of yin and yang and signifies the way that is in harmony with the natural order.

Is it hard to use the void? No. Here’s how you can make a start:

  • Align with your thoughts and emotions. Thoughts injected with feeling create everything in the universe. What are you thinking about the most? What emotions are you broadcasting? Be completely honest with yourself. Can you see how you are consciously or unconsciously bringing about manifestations in your life that are aligning with what you think/feel the most about? Okay, most of you probably know this point by now — it’s ‘old school’ stuff — but it’s seriously important and here’s why: Manifesting has become increasingly more instantaneous! It’s actually pretty cool.  I think it’s a result of the ‘quickening’ or ‘awakening’ (or whatever else you want to call it) but, holy crap, my hombre — things are heating up in that void of creation!
  • Manifest wisely. Instant manifestation can be dangerous for some and great for others. This is why getting clear with what your mind is preoccupied with is of the utmost significance now. We’re in a potent manifesting energy, where you are going to have things pop up with much more speed than before — the good, the bad and the darn-right ugly. Sometimes what we think we want could be contrary to what our soul really wants. Keep fine tuning your dial.
  • Use the void as your clean slate. What does this mean? Get clear today — hell, right now — on what you want to see unfold. What you’re thinking and projecting now is going to be featuring in those up and coming NOW moments that we refer to as ‘the future’. Be specific, write it down, read it out every morning and take action where you can. Detach from the outcome (let go and don’t try to control how it happens) and watch out for synchronicities that will guide you to achieve your greatest potential/bliss or whatever you came here to experience with great enthusiasm and excitement (read more about that HERE). Most people don’t even know what they want to manifest so they just leave it to fate. Wake up call! Fate, if you like, is you unconsciously manifesting whatever you’re thinking about the most! So you can become a conscious co-creator of your reality or you can subject your life to your random and vague inner dialogue. Read related article about why life is actually meaningless until you inject it with meaning here: The Key to Success That May Surprise You (It Surprised Me!)

Fluff up your life by dancing in that void and expressing your bliss.

Are You Good at Manifesting Nothing?

The biggest trouble I’m seeing at the moment is people who say that nothing is manifesting in their life. Wrong! If this is you, you are absolutely manifesting more ‘void’ when you say or think that ‘nothing’ is happening. You’re stuck in neutral! Shift into gear and step on that accelerator!

Try a little patience and mining your feelings real deep for any lurking saboteurs — those critters can get into every crack imaginable!

You can’t move forward if you’ve got baggage weighing you down (aka limiting beliefs — just remember EVERYTHING is a belief, you get to choose which ones you keep or toss). We’ve all got to do a bit (or lot) of introspection before our manifestations really take off.

Dance no. 2 — The Bun Dance

‘Bun’ dancing (shaking that booty!) is just a great by-product of void dancing…yip, you guessed it, it’s ABUNDANCE — your innate state of being.

When you scrape off all those repugnant limiting beliefs and shine on like a shaft of gold when all around is dark — then you will step into your abundance. Abundance is getting whatever you need when you need it — pretty cool, right?

Wiggle that arse and start a flash-mob-a-bun-dance!

That’s it for today, folks. It was a bit of an abstract article but hopefully it will offer a different perspective to ponder.

Crazy lady over and out.

Do You Know What Modality of Life You Are Experiencing?

1122

I did an online Dr. Joe Dispenza course and something really hit a home run with me in one of the lessons. He was speaking about people being in two modes of living: Survival Mode or Creation Mode.

Now this takes me back to around 2011 when I was being regressed by a metaphysical healer. She took the opportunity to ask my ‘higher self’ the ultimate question, ‘what is the point of living – what’s the meaning to all this?’ to which I answered, ‘Creativity, duh!’

It seemed logical enough and made sense at the time, but, now — with that simple statement and the course I’ve completed in tow — it’s really starting to ignite the cogs and wheels in my mind and they’re turning big time!

Let’s Take anUnadulterated Look at Survival Mode Living

Society gears us to run in survival mode — that ‘fight or flight’ concept. We are continuously stressed out which fires up our adrenalin, which alerts the body to an inherent danger (as in there is a cheetah around the corner). This sparks our adrenal glands to produce said adrenalin that elevates our heart rate and blood pressure (and a whole lot more technical stuff that I’m not going to bore you with here) and basically works us up to ‘react’ — which (in the case of the cheetah lurking around the second bush to your left) would be a welcomed response. However, in our modern day living, only causes us to build up anxiety and — let’s face it — heart disease and countless other undesirable conditions.

“There’s a terrible price to pay for stress in your life – it really takes a hit on your heart”. — Leeza Gibbons

If you’re under constant strain, your organs are under this constant strain — you are going to experience dis-ease. Stress is probably the no. 1 killer in the world and I have backup. According to the American Psychological Association, acute stress is linked to these six primary causes of death: heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide. Stress-related ailments also account for approximately 75 percent of all doctor’s office visits.

And why? Because we are programmed to chase that proverbial dangling carrot (you know the one — it has the colouring of Trumps fake tan and the body shape of Kim Kardashian’s derriere) — we’re trying to survive in a capitalist societal structure that places no credibility on creativity. Creatives are usually mad, right? Mad or broke or both.

This irritating, high-society, titillating carrot can come in many shapes and sizes, usually dressed up as a house in a safe, little suburb (white picket fence optional — nowadays it’s more like an electric 6 foot tall picket fence. Scrap that, make it a Vibracrete wall), the 2 and a half kids running in the back yard (which brings day-care/school/college/university fees and extra mouths to feed and bodies to clothe), a fancy car (because you’ve got to keep up with the Jones’s et al) and a 9-5 job to pay for the lot and keep you firmly fixed on that loop until you can retire at say 65 and get a gold watch and a hand-shake.Whew! That was a mouthful.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing off beam with wanting your basic needs met and to raise a family, I just don’t think society is putting too much credence on your well-being in the galvanized modality of contemporary living in the twenty first century.

Now Let’s Take a Look at Creative Mode Thriving

Here’s where we get to express ourselves through ingenuity, imagination and vision. Now this can be anything from the usual suspects: art, music, poetry and dance to pretty much anything else. You can inject creative flare into any job — from landscaping, architecture, being a mathematician to street sweeper, toilet cleaner or house keeper. Let me share my favourite story of a particularly artistic bathroom attendant at our local petrol station. She decorates the basins with beautiful arrays of flowers, foliage and leaves that she picks fresh every day. She does the most outstanding arrangements. Not only does this make you smile when you walk into the facilities (spreading joy) but she gets good tips (energy exchange). It’s her way of beautifying her surrounds and making the experience a good one for others too. We could all take a leaf out of her book (literally and figuratively).

“Creativity is piercing the mundane to find the marvelous.” — Bill Moyers

When we are able to express ourselves creatively, we get into the ‘zone’. That zone brings us infinite pleasure and joy. This affects our surrounds and the people with whom we interact; it also gives us a sense of purpose.

When we suppress our urges to beautify and express, we start to feel anger and resentment — the world starts to hold no meaning for us. Why? In my most humble opinion, it’s because creative mode is our natural state. It’s why we came here. The universe is ever-expanding and we are a microcosm of the macrocosm. Ergo, we want to expand our creative experience too. Creation involves birthing new ideas and innovative ways of being and living, new forms of art and entertainment, it includes physical birthing and raising your children in a creative space and it brings about the desire to beautify your space albeit your office, home, garden, community, etc. We seem to have an inherent desire for beautiful things — we’re like human magpies, we just can’t help ourselves. I think this is perfectly wonderful to feel this way.

When your environment is looking glorious and your garden is lush and green, it immediately gives you a sense of inner peace and calm. When your environment is messy and your garden is dry and dead or full of weeds, it dampens your spirits.

If you are in a job you hate but feel trapped (believe me…I’ve been there, done that!), there is always a way to make a change. You can always choose to experience something different, something that showcases more of yourtrue creative genius — something that will satisfy your soul more than a daily grind. This doesn’t mean you have to quit your job right away. It’s always good to have a game plan. If you don’t know what you want to do, just put it out there. Ask the universe to show you signs and synchronicities as to which direction you should take to make you happy and to enter creation mode. Make a vision board, speak to people about your dream (you never know who might hold an opportunity for you) and set aside time (it can be just 10 minutes) every morning and evening to visualize where you want to be. Don’t worry too much about how you’re going to get there — just put your feelers out and wait for a response from the universe. It will come if you’re willing to look for it and have faith. When the opportunity arises, take action.

I can’t tell you how many jobs I went through before I found what I really wanted to do. I’ve been doing that for over 10 years now, I’m self-employed and I’m loving it! I never thought in my dizziest daydreams that I would be doing what I’m doing now (which is painting, writing and music) and making a living from it. I remember being told that artists either starve, go mad or both and only make it when they die, writers live on the bread line and musicians…well, what can you say about musicians — they’re bums, aren’t they, busking on every street corner?

Well, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Your reality is what you make it out to be. If you believe this malarkey, then this could very well be your reality. I decided to choose not to believe that my chosen skills would bring me a life of struggle and strife — quite the opposite, I chose to believe I would thrive. Now, I’m really glad I chose not to buy into that reality (even though it did take me about 10 years to change tracks). I truly hope you choose a belief that points you towards living the life you came here to experience!

10 TOP Tips to Keep You Happy!

Happy Header

With so much going on in the daily life of the average Joe, it is hard to stay motivated.  We sometimes feel beaten down by society and all the things we occupy ourselves with, voluntary or involuntary.

This can range from commuting, work, school runs, to housework, helping the kids with homework, cooking and finding precious time to unwind — which usually ends  up with us watching TV. But how can we manage our time better to incorporate the things we long to do but feel we have no time for?

Here are 10 tips to get you excited and keep you motivated to enjoy living another day:

1. Quality Sleep

New Divine You CoverThis is one of the most important things you can gift yourself and your family with.  Make space in your night-time schedule to start winding down at least 1 hour prior to going to bed.  You can light some calming, soothing essential oils, such as lavender and chamomile — will assist in good, sound sleep.  You can have a warm, milky drink or some herbal tea.  Switch off all radios and TV’s that are keeping you engaged in noise and ‘action’.  Instead, you can read that book you’ve been promising yourself or listen to some relaxing music.  All of these things can aid you into an alpha brain wave state, which allows your mind to relax and disconnect.  You must avoid falling asleep on a full stomach or, even worse, falling asleep with the TV on.  Your mind still takes in everything it hears, even whilst asleep, and having the TV on will not only disrupt your sleep but possibly cause you to have nightmares.

2. Berry Boost

With a good nights sleep tucked safely under your belt, what better way to start your morning off with than a berry smoothie?  This is quick and easy to make and will give your system a boost of sustainable energy.  These smoothies keep me going for about 4-5 hours.  They are great for your skin too, berries have anti-aging properties and the calcium is good for your bones, ladies!  A quick recipe I use is (for one 500ml serving):  Take 2 handfuls of mixed, frozen berries (or fresh if you like, I like the frozen ones because they give a kind of ‘crushed ice’ effect), 2 squirts of Stevia, 4 tablespoons of plain yoghurt and top up with some milk.  Blend and drink your way to vitality and well-being!

3. Time Productivity

Use your time wisely.  If you commute to work by public service, take this opportunity to meditate or read.  Make it ‘you’ time.  If you can, it is great to shut your eyes in the morning and the evening (could be on your way to or from work  if you are traveling by public service) — for just 10-20 minutes at a time — to meditate and clear your mind.  This will benefit you in more ways than you can imagine.  It also gives you a break from the mind chatter or what I like to call ‘white noise’.  This allows more productive thoughts through instead of the useless and incessant worry that can clog up the mind.

4. Breathing

Huh?  Don’t I do this automatically?  Yes, but most people are in the habit of shallow breathing.  You need to oxygenate your body for optimum productivity and chi (vital force).  Try to, at least every hour, breath in to the count of 5, hold it to the count of 5 and exhale to the count of 5.  This will give you a boost during the day.

5. Let Loose

This is an integral step for you to de-stress after a long day. Explore an activity that is tantamount to letting the ‘inner child’ out to play.  I find it really helpful to put on some upbeat music and have a sing-song and dance around the house.  Get your groove on and invite your family to join in.  You can do this for just 30 minutes and it is a really fun way to get moving and to unwind.  The best part is you also get a great workout — physically and vocally!  Let your inner diva shine!

6. Keep it Clean

This is a macrocosm/microcosm thing — it affects the inside and the outside world.  When you have a neat, tidy and clean home and/or office, you are happier.  When you have a clean, refreshed body, you are happier.  I have to tell you about my dog.  She hates her bath, as do so many of our canine counterparts, but after she has been through this torturous activity, she runs around the garden like a dog-reborn — smiling, barking and just generally frolicking like a pup.  Bath-time also equates to going for a walk (which she does regularly) but when she walks after her bath, she has a spring in her step and a wag in her tail that is much more noticeable.  This is a great metaphor for how we feel when our bodies are bathed (make your bath-time a treat too — get some nice smelly soaps and bubble-bath and make it an event) and our houses or offices are spic-and-span and organized.

7. Eat Well

Another part of keeping it clean, is keeping the inside of your sacred body clean and invest in a detox every now and again.  Or better still, make it a daily habit to eat healthy fresh foods.  You know the kind I’m talking about so I’m not going to go into detail.  This is a no-brainer, you are what you eat.  Keep it fresh, colourful and simple and your system will be alive and vibrant, leaving you feeling energized and ready to take on the world.  Have you noticed how sluggish you feel when you’ve pigged out on a burger and chips?  Yeah?  Well, you need to get real about what you are putting in and perhaps compare that to what you are getting out!  You may have a Porsche but you can’t run it on horse manure.

8. Creative Space

This is really important.  We all need to express ourselves creatively, no matter if it takes the form of art, writing, decorating, drawing, constructing/ building, etc.  It is hugely beneficial to give yourself some time and a quiet space to be creative.  If it is once a day, that is great.  If you can’t fit it in daily then at least allocate yourself a good few days of the week to squeeze in 2-3 hours of creative expression time.  You can even make this a family activity where everyone gets time out to do something fun.  It will teach you and your family the benefit of taking care of your own needs in an unselfish and productive way.

9. Gratitude

Take time out, especially with your family, to give thanks for all that you  do have in your life right now.  This can be over a meal, as is commonly practiced in the saying of Grace.  I am not a religious person but I do see the benefits of giving thanks.  This could also be done in your quiet time in the bath, or whilst you are commuting, etc.  You can explain the benefits to your family and encourage them to also find a quiet minute or two to reflect on being grateful.  This feeds positivity and will nurture your good feelings ratio.

10. Reflect

When you find the space to reflect on your life, your goals and your dreams, you can keep the picture of your destiny clear and precise.  When you don’t take time out to ponder and to re-align with your intentions, you may lose sight of where you are headed.  You can sometimes slip into a stream that does not fit the destination of your dream.  Make a vision board where you can pin all the things you desire and all that you would like to manifest in your life experience.  Make sure you hold yourself accountable for taking action towards your goals and keep this board somewhere where you will see it every day.

What is most important of all is that you enjoy your journey, this life is precious and special and you can make each day an enjoyable experience.

If you catch yourself falling into boredom or despair, simply remind yourself that you can make a choice to re-align to a more joyful outlook — run through this checklist and see if there is anything you can do or improve on to bring you into a state of balance and fulfillment.

In the wise words of Eckhart Tolle, you can either be enthusiastic about what you are doing, enjoy what you are doing or accept what you are doing.  When you do not fall into any of these 3 categories you set yourself up for feeling resentment or frustration.

Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility.

The Weight of the World

Hello Earthling! How nice of you to have dropped by this titillating planet filled with such great diversity and beauty.

What was that you said?  Did you say that you:

Feel burdened by society and all that is wrong with the world?

You feel an overwhelming pressure to change the world?

Did I hear you right?  Did you say that you even feel guilty or responsible for the state of the world?

What an awful burden it is to bear when we decide to take on the weight of the world, or on a lesser degree, the weight of another person’s choices or life.

Are you guilty of this?  Yes…no…perhaps a little?

Are You Suffering From Mad Cow Disease?

Let me get clear on this.  Sit down and make yourself comfortable because I need your undivided attention.

Holy cow!  I only recently realized that I’ve been a complete idiot — a buffoon of the highest degree.

In what textbook did I read that I need to change the world, take over if I saw someone else suffering along their path or put every effort into making people see the world the way I see it?

Nope, can’t think of the name of that book so I must have somehow imagined it.  But how many of you can say you feel the same way?

You may feel responsible for your partner, your grown up children, your friends and other members of your family.  You may even take on the responsibility of complete strangers.

Light Bulbs and Cricket Bats

Let’s get straight to the juicy bit of this article — either you’re going to have an ‘a-ha’ moment or you are going to have to beat yourself over the head a couple of times with a bat to whack the sense home.

You were born here on planet Earth and the global problems were here, social structure (no matter how much you may dislike it) was already in place.  Thanks to our ancestors, the worlds configuration was in place the moment you catapulted into reality — the good, the bad and the ugly.  You are not responsible for what came before you.  However, you ARE responsible for how you affect the world with your presence from this moment onwards.  Every choice you make is part and parcel to your responsibility.  Own it.

You were born on planet Earth and you needed to work out some of your own lessons and you’re doing great.  When you decide to shift your focus onto another person’s lessons and try to tamper with their version of reality — you have made a crucial mistake.  You don’t think the other person is capable of handling their own lives so you intervene.  You may think you need to because your version of reality and what you think is the right way as it is working so well for you.  True?

Nope.  It is YOUR truth but it may not necessarily be another’s.  When you try to control another individual or their path you are basically saying that they are weak and you are strong.   Oops…not very nice.  What’s more is you’re not even helping yourself out, you’re just taking on extra baggage.

Helping or Hindering?

SittingEveryone needs to work out their own journey through life.  It is your responsibility to love and respect them enough to give them space and to only help out when you are asked to.  Get it?

You are disempowering another human being when you try to seize control or mold them into how you want them to fit into your life.

You are not responsible for any other human being but yourself (barring minors under your care, of course).  Focus on yourself and be the best person you can be so that you can be that shining example to others.  That is the only way you will make a positive change in someone’s life.  You can’t go into their space and try to effect change.

The Prime Directive

You are responsible for your life.  Your main responsibility is to be happy — you could even call this your ‘prime directive’or ultimate goal.  If you are not happy it is your responsibility to sniff out the causes as to why you are not living in joy.

So, now say you have found your bliss but it hurts you when you see other people suffer and you want to help.

Keep Your Nose on Your Face

The stark truth is that they need to take responsibility for their life and choices.  You can always help another human being but you should never force yourself or your way of life onto someone else.

To truly love someone is to accept them as they are and respect their life path.  Can you do that?

Can you step into owning your life and taking responsibility for your choices today?  If you do, the weight of the world will be lifted from your shoulders and you will experience a freedom like no other.

It’s okay to be here, it’s okay to be you and it’s okay to let other people be themselves.

You are only responsible for you.  And thanks to the wise words of Gandhi, try to be the change you want to see in the world.

How to Manifest Your Desires

Poppy IToday’s blog is going to concentrate on the key steps to manifesting what it is that you desire to experience.

“It is always a good idea to reassess or rethink what it is we want to manifest so that we can always remain focused and clear on what we want out of life.”

For a recap of the Law of Attraction and how you can begin to take charge of your life, please read Tuesdays blog here before proceeding with the following steps.

  • Setting an intention — do this daily and try to follow-up every week on your desires manifestation.   You may want to retweek what it is you want.  It is perfectly okay to change your mind.   It is important to bend with the wind and to not resist it.  So, if you feel like there is something better you want to manifest, then do that and don’t stay rigidly stuck on your first desire.  It is always a good idea to reassess or rethink what it is we want to manifest so that we can always remain focused and clear on what we want out of life.
  • Visualization and Emotion — when you have set your intention visualize what it would feel like if you were already living in that reality.  The more you feel the emotions, the more the Universe will line you up with that frequency that you want or believe yourself to be on.  We all played ‘make believe’ when we were kids, so don’t tell me you don’t know how to daydream!  This step is literally daydreaming that existence and when you get to the ‘feeling’ part, you have your positive manifesting emotion.
  • Anchoring — anchor that emotion!  Try to feel that emotion whenever you can.  Think about how wonderful it feels.
  • Detach — the most important part of this process is to detach from what you want.  This almost sounds like a dichotomy but it isn’t.  The reason why we need to detach from the outcome is that we don’t know the quickest possible way to get to our desires.  The Universe does and when you detach you are actually allowing for the speediest route to your desired destination.  Know in your heart that your wish is being seen to and that the fruits will come.  When you can be in this frame of mind, you have detached and are in the state of allowing.  Blank out your mind and stop worrying about how to ‘get there’.
  • Live it out — see yourself always living in the desired outcome.  Instead of focusing on the hows and whens of the manifested desire, focus on what you are going to be doing when your dream is met.  In other words, if you desire more money, then money is not what you really want — you can do very little with the physical aspect of the money except wipe your bottom with it.  What you want is what the money can buy — the vibrational exchange.  So picture what it is you want the money for.  Is it a new car or a lavish vacation — then picture yourself driving down the highway in your new car or soaking up the suns rays in Barbados (hell, even throw in the first class ticket you could afford to get there with!).  Let go of how you are going to get there and ‘feel’ like you are already there — picture yourself boarding the plane and drinking champagne in first class or getting into your new red Porsche and starting the ignition.  Make the visualizations exciting and pleasant.

Poppy IIYou can do these visualizations and emotion-enhancing techniques when you meditate. All it takes is a powerful 5 minute meditation to kick-start your desires into action.

“Tell yourself how quickly you are going to get things done and how much fun it’s going to be.”

I usually do an exercise in the morning over my first cuppa.  I set my intention for the day and I see myself easily carrying out all my plans and having time to spare.  I also visualize that I am enjoying myself immensely whilst I am doing it.  Go on, try it!

You will be amazed how everything falls into place when you expect it to.  Think about that.  When you whine and complain about how little time you have, or how much you have to do — you usually end up meeting that agreement easily!  So try it in reverse.  Tell yourself how quickly you are going to get things done and how much fun it’s going to be.

Let The Universal GPS Take You There!

What I know for certain is that if you do not detach you start to doubt, when you doubt you lose the momentum of your desire.  When you try to fathom the way the Universe should bring your desire about, you are resisting what can be done to achieve your goal.  This can lead you to take ages to manifest what you want instead of letting go and letting the Universal GPS take you there.

“…when you are in your integrity you will be a responsible creator and you will manifest for yourself and the greater good.”

Keep focusing on your goal and enjoy the ride!  You are always going to want more and want to create more, this is alright as the Universe is ever-expanding.  Please don’t get me wrong with this statement as I am not advocating being an ‘over-consumer’ — please co-create responsibly.  But I have no doubt that when you are in your integrity you will be a responsible creator and you will manifest for yourself and the greater good.

Lastly and probably the most important step — have fun!  The joy is in the journey and not always in the arrival of your destination (this is just a momentary bonus until you want to manifest your next creation).

Happy manifesting!
